i am having problems with my 97 4 door stratus brake lights. both sides
do not work but the trunk lid brake light does work. can someone please
tell me where to start looking? if the trunk lid brake light works there
must be a connection where they all start…right? i cannot afford to
have a mechanic track down the problem. many thanks, cj

I did the front; I wasn’t sure what I’d find so I just did the pads. The
rotor were OK; still in spec, a bit rusty but not scored very badly at all.

But, the rears. How do I get the rear drum off (15" wheel, 11" drum)
There is a nut on the axle, a collar to hold the nut in place and a cotter
pin through that. Do I have to remove all of that, or are the wheel studs
THROUGH the drum and not part of the drum?

Any help appreciated!

I have a 2000 Dodge Neon with 98,000 km’s on it.
I have always had problems with my noisy brakes but eventually gave up
on trying to have that one solved, because not a mechanic around knows
how to stop these brakes from squealing.

My problem with it right now is it feels like it isnt getting enough
gas to the engine.  When I sit in traffic it feels like it is trying to
change gears, but I drive an automatic!!!
Also it occasionally stalls in reverse.

Anyone who has these same problems please let me know what you did to
have it fixed, or anyone who can tell what they think it is wrong with
it cause I just took it to a Chrysler dealership to have it looked at
and they said that it was fine.
But it wants to keep going while im braking, almost reving up!

A friend of mine has an early 90-s Dodge truck. 4 WD, and V-6 engine.
throttle body fuel injection.  Sometimes it won’t start when it’s
cold. Spins nice and fast, but just won’t catch.

 I was there one time when it did this. Starter for a couple seconds.
Wait a c ouple minutes as we chat, and then it fired right up. Says
it’s getting worse, and the problem is worse when it’s cold.

He replaced the ignition coil. I ws thinking cap and rotor, but it
runs fine after it starts. He says someone suggeste fuel pump may be
going weak. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I know that all cars need to have the oil changed at certain milage, which i
have done on my crusier.  The turbo has gone out and was replaced in april,
oil changed before it went out.  I have only put about 1500 miles on the car
since it was replaced, and turbo has gone out again, I am being told by my
dealership that they will not cover it on mopar coverage nor on my extended
warranty because i did not have the oil changed after the turbo was replace
in april.  Does the oil not being changed cause the turbo to go out???  I do
not know alot about cars and feel they are only saying this to get out of
paying for the repairs. any info would help. Thanks-Carol

I have a 2005 Grand Caravan with 15K miles.    Been to the dealer, twice,
for this problem….and, of course, the problem never replicates itself for
the technician….nor, are there any stored codes for them to reference.

The caravan will completely shut-off, for no apparent reason, while stopped
at a light.    This only happens occasionally….I drove the van from VA to
FL and back a week ago and the problem NEVER occured….but, then, today, at
a light, everything shut off—as if I turned the key off.    Had to place
the van in park—and it restarted right away (as it always does when this
happens).

Originally thought it might be the cd changer….as it only happened when
playing CDs….but, today the radio was on (not CD).

I’m stumped, and the dealer won’t do anything—because when I bring the van
in….everything is fine.    Any ideas what might be causing the stalling??
