I recently purchased a 96 4 cyl caravan.   I’ve heard all of the information
about the pros and cons of this model– but I’ve just curious if any of you
have one of these– I can barely get 18 mpg out of this.   Is this normal?

Hello, I have a 95 avenger ES….it has about 140K miles on it..My wife
drove to DC from Alabama over the holidays….When she was returning
yesterday, after about 10 hrs of driving, the anti-lock brake warning light
came on, on she said the car felt like someone was applying the brakes and
letting go…after a few times of this she pulled off to a gas station and
the car died…..no power at all….after talking to me on the phone for
about 10 minutes she then started the car…and we decided to try and drive
the rest of the way..(about 2 hrs).    she finished the trip with no mor
problems…..Has anyone ever heard of this problem….she wants to take the
car to the shop and have it checked out, but I doudt if anyone will find out
what is wrong unless the symptoms come back ….thanks for ur help……by
the way we keep up on all maintenence on the car…….regularly…the only
prob we have had was a water pump and changed the timing belt twice…tks

I have a 1985 Plymouth Voyageur with a 2.6L Mitsubushi engine.  The
transmission has seen better days.  My neighbour has a 1989 Dodge mini-van
with a 3.0L engine, but the engine smokes.  What I was wondering, is if,
anyone knows if the transmission from the 89 3.0L will fit the 85 2.6L?  I
ask because the neighbour says I can have it for free, plus my 85 is in
excellent condition with only 120,000 KMS.

My wife and I are going to look at the new Caravans Friday and would like to
hear some comments about the V6 engines. We have a 3.0 in our ’97, but I’m
leaning to something with more power.

I have a ’95 Neon which refused to start today. When I turn the key, the dash
lights all come on briefly, then go off as normal. Then the check engine
light flashes, 5 times, pause, then 5 more times.

It won’t turn over, and there’s no sound of the solonoid clicking. (I checked
the light switch, I didn’t leave them on!)

Any help would be appreciated…TIA

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Check engine light stays on. Have ran an ignition code. Code 12 says
problem with battery connection. Direct battery input to controller
disconnected within the last 50 ignition key on cycles. Code 32 An open
shorted condition detected in the EGR solenoid circuit. Possible
air/fuel ratio imbalance not detected during diagnosis. Does anyone know
is this a repair I can do or should I let the shop do it. Thanks for all
responses.
