95 Neon Both Rear Turn Signals flash
This is a good one. When I signal left turn everything is fine. When I
signal
right, BOTH my Taillights flash. When I hit the brake while right signal
flashing
it just becomes solid. Also interior lights flash, cept for
domelight.Weirdest
thing I’ve ever seen.
I have already swapped bulbs, stoplight switch, flasher, and turn signal
switch/lever off the column. Same problem all around. ALso when I pull my
fuse for
taillights under the hood they just stay solid. There has got to be a
short, or
bad ground, as for where or what I dont know. If anyone has anymore
suggestions
I’m open.

1994 Caravan rack & pinion seal
Hello. My brothers 1994 Caravan is leaking power steering fluid out
of the rubber boot on the end of the rack and pinion. Obviously the
seal inside is blown but my question is…How hard is it to change
just that seal as opposed to pulling and replacing the entire rack and
pinion? Any input or links to appropriate websites is appreciated as
this thing is leaking badly. Thanks
question regarding heating/ac fan, 98 voyager
The fan in my 98 voyager completely died, with nothing at
all happening when I went through the various rotary
switch settings.
When I drove up to the shop, it came on and did fine.
It died again an hour later.
Drove to shop, it’s fine.
This has happened a bunch of times by now.
The folk there suggest that it’s probably the fan
motor with a "dead spot" (they had a differnet term
which I’ve forgotten). They figure what’s happening
is that sometimes the motor shuts off with everything
positioned just wrong, so turning it on does nothing.
Then, a bit later, after some potholes…. it gets
shaken and moved enough to get to a "live" portion
and comes back.
They recommend replacing the fan assembly (this is the
one that’s right behind the passenger side glove compartment).
It makes sense to me, but I figured I’d ask around
for a second opinion before committing the cash.
Thoughts? Thanks muchly.

Old fallacy needs put to rest
Hi,
I saw a recent post here where one poster told another, manufacturers
have to support vehicles for 10 years after they stop producing them.
Well let me tell you, I worked in 2 dealership shops, and there is no
such law, requirement, stipulation, nothing that says Chevy must
provide parts and shop manuals to dealers for 10 years, nothing of
the sort. I remember very well a 6 or 7 year old Ford we needed a
door panel or such for and Ford didn’t make it.
This is horribly exhibited in some of the chinese junk that is being sold
in the US right now, all kinds of scooters, small dirt bikes, etc., sold
with no parts inventory or support of any kind, in the US.
The guys selling these tell you they can get parts or worse they tell
you the bike is a copy of, lets say a 125 Honda, and you can use
those parts. Well good luck with that one.
Caravan: Both front calipers seized????
Hello all. OK just to keep it short, my brother has a 1994 Dodge
Caravan with the 3.0 engine and automatic transmission. This may or
may not be relevant to what I am about to ask but at the beginning of
last week he had the rack and pinion changed. Now he says when he
drives after about 20-30 minutes of city driving the brakes begin to
drag badly so that the van is hard to drive. He said last night it was
so bad when he got home he saw both front calipers "glowing red". I
just had time now to pull of the front wheels and had him pump the
brakes and hold the pedal down and opened the bleeders and both had a
strong fluid pressure so I know the master cylinder is working fine in
that regard. My question is..Is it possible BOTH front calipers are
going bad at the exact same time and if that’s unlike what else could
I look at as the cause? Thanks in advance
Oil in radiator…
… in my ’97 Plymouth Neon Highline, AT, 2.0L 4 cyl. I immediately
thought "bad head gasket" and have had a couple of other people suggest
that. But my oldest son says that would cause the *opposite* (i.e. water
in the oil). He says it could be a bad water pump seal. What do you guys
think?
